Find any locks or latches near the outside of the garage door and make sure they re open so they.
Pull up on the pry bars to allow you and your helper to grab the door underneath with your hands.
It will align itself in normal operation.
You will also need 2 pry bars or whatever you can get your hands on to pry the garage door open enough to get your hands under it to lift.
Disconnect the power cord to the automatic door opener.
Clean away excess moisture on the garage floor.
Close the door first then pull the release handle toward the opener to reconnect it.
Locate the emergency.
Insert each pry bar under the corner of the door between the door and the floor.
When the first roller is lined up with the part of the track you pried open hold the garage door in place with your non dominant hand.
Once you have gotten your hands under the door you need to both lift it up in unison.
This should be done slowly to not strain your backs or pull a muscle since the garage door is very heavy.
You don t have to worry about where the trolley connects along the drive track.
Once you have the door opening and closing again you can re engage the automatic opener.
